Our company began producing roll bending machines in 1998 in the Konya Anadolu Industrial Area. Growing demand and a commitment to better technology led us to the Konsan Industrial Site in Konya, where we continue production today with modern machinery, a larger workshop and an expanded product range.

Why Dished Ends Matter

A dished end is far more than a lid. Its curved shape spreads internal pressure evenly and allows thinner walls than a flat plate would need, which saves material and weight. Common forms include torispherical, semi-elliptical and hemispherical heads, and each depends on accurate dishing and flanging to meet design standards. When the crown radius or knuckle radius is off, welds suffer and safety margins shrink. Precise forming equipment is therefore the first line of quality control.

Hydraulic Dishing Presses

The first step in making a tank head is dishing: pressing a flat circular blank into a dome. Our hydraulic dishing presses deliver controlled force along the whole stroke, forming smooth, accurate crowns in carbon steel, stainless steel and other plate materials. Adjustable pressure and speed let operators tune each cycle to the thickness and diameter of the blank, which protects both tooling and surface quality.

After dishing, the edge of the head must be formed into a knuckle and a straight flange so it can be welded to the shell and carry internal pressure. Our flanging machines do exactly that. The range includes machines for dished ends with a center hole and the Bison series BSMD machines for dished ends without a center hole, which hold solid discs firmly and flange them with excellent repeatability. Bison models cover plate thicknesses up to 50 mm and diameters up to 5000 mm, with manual, hydraulic and CNC-controlled options.

Not every cover is round. Manholes, inspection covers and special tank ends are often oval or have complex outlines. Our hydro-mechanical flanging machines form flanges on oval and non-round shapes, combining hydraulic force with mechanical guiding to follow the contour precisely. This makes SBFM a useful partner for workshops that need more than standard circular heads.

Hydraulic Roll Bending Machines

Roll bending was where our story began, and it remains a core strength. Our hydraulic roll bending machines form plate into cylinders, cones and arcs for tank shells, pressure vessels, silos, pipes and steel structures. The range includes four-roller machines such as the 4RH SBS 6213, with a capacity of 13 mm × 6200 mm, which pre-bends both plate edges and leaves minimal flat ends for efficient, low-waste rolling.
